One of our best-selling slates! Blue Slate Chippings 40mm is the larger size of blue slate and is especially good for ground cover and rockeries. It has a plum, grey and green coloured pieces in for a natural variation in colour which is common in slate. Blue is the flattest slate we have and the 40mm will settle down very well on paths and gives an open textured finish, even when packed down firmly.

Alternatively try our competitively priced Graphite Grey Slate, a beautiful dark slate with flecks of gold running through it.

The natural colour variations is what makes this slate special as it can vary from blue grey to plum. It is also known as Welsh Blue Slate or Heather Slate and is best laid 5-6cm deep. The actual size ranges from 15-50mm.

20mm Blue Slate is available if you want a finer smoother finish. Or if you require even larger 50-100mm pieces, you could try our Blue Slate Paddlestones.
